See the problem before anyone touches a shovel.
Recurring blockages, foul odours, rodent activity, flooding and leaks are usually symptoms of a structural defect in the pipe: holes, cracks, displaced or open joints, root ingress, subsidence, lodged items, construction debris or a collapse. A CCTV survey shows exactly which, and exactly where.
We clean the line first where needed, then survey it with pushrod or mainline cameras. The report is produced in WinCan to the MSCC5 standard for drain and sewer reporting, so it is clear, precise and accepted by engineers, public liability assessors and insurance companies.
When to get a survey
- A drain that blocks repeatedly
- Smells you cannot trace
- Rats in or around the property
- Wet patches, sinking ground or subsidence concerns
- Buying or selling a house
- Before building over or near an existing drain
- Signing off new connections on a site
What you get
Footage of the run, a plan of the drainage layout with defects located and graded, and plain-English recommendations, whether that is a jet, a patch liner, a full reline or nothing at all.

How it works
How a survey works.
Clean
A blocked or dirty pipe hides the defect, so we jet first where needed.
Survey
Cameras go down every accessible run and record as they go.
Report
WinCan report to MSCC5, with footage, layout and graded defects.
Recommend
What to fix, what to leave, and a price for each.

How much is a CCTV drain survey?
It depends on the number of runs and access. Ring with the address and what is happening and you get a fixed figure. A survey costs far less than repairing the wrong thing.
Will my insurer accept the report?
Yes. The report is produced through WinCan to the MSCC5 standard, the format engineers, insurance companies and public liability assessors ask for.
Should I get a survey before buying a house?
Yes, especially older houses, houses with trees near the drains, or anything with an extension over a drain. It is a small cost against a collapsed drain under a new kitchen.
How long does it take?
Most house surveys are done in an hour or two. The report follows the same or next working day.
